En él participaron una delegación de activistas del
Grupo Comunista Revolucionario y simpatizantes de la revista FRFI de Glasgow,
Newcastle y Londres, con la intención de comprender la relevancia de los
movimientos sociales en América Latina, los logros obtenidos, la repercusión
que tienen en Gran Bretaña y los retos a los que se enfrentan este año.
El RCG hace una
llamada a la lucha para que se apliquen en Reino Unido las ideas de los
movimientos revolucionarios socialistas que están obteniendo logros en la lucha
por el bienestar y la igualdad social en Latinoamérica.

La lucha del
socialismo, la guerra de clases, movimientos sociales y las próximas elecciones
en Latinoamérica, a debate en este encuentro convocado el 5 de febrero en
Newcastle.

El Grupo Comunista Revolucionario y la revista Fight
Racism! Fight Imperialism! (FRFI), organizan este encuentro público que tiene
como objetivo el compromiso activo y solidario con los movimientos revolucionarios
a nivel internacional, y la creación de un movimiento por el socialismo en Gran
Bretaña.
En “Revolución en América Latina 2014, guerra de
clases, movimientos sociales y elecciones” declararán testigos de los
movimientos revolucionarios en Latinoamérica.
Se presentará el
informe del Festival Mundial para la Democracia de la Juventud y Estudiantes,
celebrado el mes de diciembre de 2013 en Quito, Ecuador.
2014 se presenta, según los convocantes, como un año
clave para la lucha del socialismo en América Latina.
La “revolución bolivariana” y las próximas elecciones
en Bolivia y Ecuador, las conversaciones de paz de Colombia, los movimientos
estudiantiles en Chile, la lucha en las calles de Venezuela y el papel de la
Cuba comunista, son ejemplos de esta lucha de los movimientos revolucionarios
por una alternativa al racismo, a la guerra, la pobreza y la construcción de
una sociedad socialista colectiva.
Los participantes en
el 18º Festival Mundial para la Democracia de la Juventud y Estudiantes,
hablaron y se entrevistaron con líderes de los movimientos anti-imperialistas,
elaborando un informe dónde se reflejan las ideas para la lucha contra los
recortes y el imperialismo en Gran Bretaña.
El Grupo Comunista Revolucionario declara que hay que
combatir la situación que se vive ahora en Gran Bretaña, con la aplicación de
recortes a la asistencia social y una política imperialista hacia países
extranjeros.
El RCG hace una

The struggle for socialism, class warfare, social movements and the
upcoming elections in Latin America; these are the topics up for discussion at
a public meeting to be held on the 5th of February in
Newcastle.

The Revolutionary Communist Group (RCG) and the magazine Fight Racism!
Fight Imperialism!(FRFI) , have
organised this public meeting in an attempt to seek the active commitment and
solidarity with revolutionary movements internationally, and to build a
movement for socialism in Britain.
“Revolutionary
Latin America 2014: class war, social movements and elections” will include
reoprts from participants of revolutionary movements in Latin America.
There will be a presentation of the report from The 18th World Festival
of Democratic Youth and Students, held in Quito in December 2013.
The festival was
attended by a delegation of activists from the RCG and supporters of the
magazine FRFI in Glasgow, Newcastle and London.
Their aim was to
gain an understanding of the relevance of social movements in Latin America,
the achievements, the impact they have in Britain and the challenges that they
will face this year.
2014 is
presented, according to the organisers, as a key to the struggle for socialism
in Latin America year.
The “Bolivarian Revolution” and the upcoming elections in Bolivia
and Ecuador, as well as Colombian peace talks, student movements in Chile,
fights in the streets of Venezuela, and the role of communist Cuba, are
examples of this struggle of these revolutionary movements to create an
alternative to racism, war, poverty and to build a collective socialist
society.
Participants at the 18th World Festival
of Democratic Youth and Students, spoke and met with leaders of the
anti-imperialist movements.
Their aim was to
prepare a report where the ideas behind the fight against cuts and imperialism
in Britain are also reflected.
RCG has declared that we must fight the current situation in Britain, with
the implementation of cuts to social welfare and an imperialist foreign policy
towards foreign countries.
The RCG will
make a call to fight for the UK to take on some of the ideas from these
socialist revolutionary movements that are making progress in the fight for the
welfare and social equity in Latin America.
